1. Avanti-Bexhill: Our 2nd ABI Centre is Up and Running!

Our new Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) centre in Bexhill is open and thriving. Located at 8 Sackville Road, Bexhill, the centre operates 4 days a week (Tuesdays to Fridays).

Who is this service for?

• A Follow-On Service: Designed for individuals with an ABI who have completed their NHS-funded rehabilitation at our Avanti Filsham Road centre, but still require support to build an independent, community-focused life. [1]
• Progressed Pathways: We also welcome individuals with an ABI who are further down their recovery journey and want to enhance their community reintegration.

What we offer:

• Prime Community Access: We are perfectly situated to take full advantage of Bexhill town centre, the seafront, the parks, and the De La Warr Pavilion.
• Targeted Skills Sessions: At Bexhill we do not offer registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, or Speech & Language Therapists, our highly experienced specialist ABI team delivers structured, informed sessions covering:
  • Physical skills (including upper limb focus)
  • Cognitive skills
  • Language and communication skills
• Flexible Funding Paths: Clients can self-refer and self-fund, or they may qualify for Adult Social Care (ASC) funding following a standard ASC assessment.

2. Introducing the Avanti Parkinson's Disease (PD) Service

We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new service opening in January 2027.

Operating on Mondays, this specialised service is based at our main centre at 28 Filsham Road, St Leonards-on-Sea. It provides a welcoming, safe space uniquely tailored for adults living with early to moderate stage Parkinson’s disease. [1]

What does the PD service offer?:

• Tailored Day-Rehabilitation: Individualised, structured education, cognitive work, physical routines, and voice work designed to preserve independence.
• Vibrant Social Activities: Meaningful opportunities to build a routine, combat isolation, and share experiences with peers.
• Essential Respite Care: A warm, enriching environment that gives individuals a fulfilling day out while providing family carers with peace of mind and a valuable break.

Avanti (abi) is a specialised day-rehabilitation service for adults with an acquired brain injury (abi) living in the vicinity of St. Leonards-on-Sea (near Hastings) in East Sussex. Additionally, we provide a day-service for adults with early to moderate stage Parkinson's disease.

Avanti (abi) offers flexible services that respond to client needs and interests. Up to 16 centre-based clients each day (Monday to Friday) benefit from our input. We are also able to offer home-based services where needed.

Avanti (abi) provides a tranquil and relaxing environment where clients can socialise and work towards achieving their potential.

The premises is just a few minutes from the sea and not far from a train station and diverse shops.
